My nutrition Manifesto

Wellness should be simple and balanced, not extreme.

First and foremost: no predatory marketing, no overpromising, no underdelivering. You won’t find me pushing the latest 30-day juice detox or extreme diet trends. That’s just not my style. I believe in something far deeper, because food is so much more than just fuel for our bodies (I’ve never been a fan of reducing it to that).

Food is connection. It’s culture, tradition, and family. It’s joy, and food should be celebrated, not vilified. That’s why my approach to nutrition is about finding balance: the middle ground between nourishment and enjoyment, between wellness and indulgence. Yes, it’s possible to have both! You can honor your body with nutrition that fuels you while still embracing the joy that food brings to life. It’s not about extremes; it’s about balance.

Nutrition should be enjoyable and fulfilling, not complicated or restrictive. After four years of studying it, I know it can seem confusing, but it’s actually simpler than it looks. Often, the complexity comes from misinformation rather than the science itself.

We owe it to the next generation, especially girls and women, to shift the focus from unrealistic standards of thinness to strength, capability, and endurance. Health should be celebrated in all its forms, not just by the numbers on a scale.

There aren’t many quick fixes for lasting health, despite what health influencers may try to sell you. Real change requires time, effort, and a thoughtful approach. Real health isn’t just about what’s on your plate; it’s also about quality sleep, managing stress, staying active, and your overall habits.
